Possible Career Choices
I'm just 14 but I tend to think about my future, especially my career. I always wanted to be successful without luring the bad guys. Sounds weird? You should hear more! Hah! I know, I'm a total bizarro. Anyway, here's my list of possible careeer choices:
1. Film Maker - I always wanted to direct a film. I like shooting videos, finding the perfect angle, experimenting with different backgrounds and stuff. Film is art. A very interesting type of art, in fact. And that's why I wanna be a film director someday.
2. Fashion Designer - I love fashion. I just love it! The details, cut, lines, everything!
3. Photographer - I'll be a photographer someday..You know, as a sideline. To earn extra money.
4. Boutique owner - I always wanted to have my very own store ever since I was little. We always used to play games wherein I "sell" things.
5. Writer - I'm still young so I'm not really that experienced when it comes to writing. I write for the school paper but mostly it's just fluff. Nothing worth mentioning about. Some say I have potential and not to sound boastful or anything but I do think so, too.
So what do you think? Do I have what it takes? Hmm...I think my greatest goal/dream is to be all those five. I think I can do it....

My Not-So-Exciting Christmas
Yesterday, we celebrated Christmas at our house in Sampaloc. We did nothing but eat lunch, take snapshots of each other, videotape the "event" and talk. Actually, my mom and my tita Neneng only did this. My tita just came from Taiwan to be with her family here in the Philippines. Her two daughters (my cousins) are currently having a fight. One is 18 years old and the older one is 23. Anyway, I won't tell you the cause of this on-going war because it's too personal. My tita and my mom tried to stop the fight by making them apologize to each other (yesterday) but my 18-year-old cousin didn't wanna do it. She screamed and tried to go outside the gate but my tita held her which caused to her scream and scream again. That was a bit embarassing, to tell you the truth.
Anyway, enough about that. After the visit, we went back home again and we did nothing but watch Edward Scissorhands and Cheaper by the Dozen on Star Movies International. Then at 6:30 pm, we got ready because we were going to Gloria Maris (restaurant) to attend the wedding reception of my cousin's wedding. Her husband wasn't that good-looking.
The celebration lasted till 11:00 pm. Then, we went home and got to bed.
Not-so-exciting, huh?
Oh, wait. I really liked my outfit on Christmas Day.
1. a yellow razorback tank top with lace/frills in the bottom
2. layered with a nice pink (w/ swirl prints) sleeveless shirt;loose shirt
3. a bluegreen coat with white piping. Niiiiice....it's my favorite item on the whole outfit...No, on the whole WARDROBE.
4. a bead-y necklace..love it!
5. nice black jeans ... the basics
6. white and pink sandals/slip-ons
I tried to get a good picture of it but I can't so you'll have to settle for the descriptions above

The Shopaholic
My mom, my little sister and I went to SM San Lazaro today to buy stuff. Since my dad gave each of us 2, 000 pesos, we might as well spend the day in the mall because we have nowhere else to go to. My little brother didn't come of course. He's the poster boy of all stereotypical boys: timid, videogame addict, secretive, doesn't wanna go shopping. One exception is that he's not very athletic. Yes. That's right.
Anyway, this entry is all about me being a shopaholic. I mean I couldn't help it if I like an item....or two....or three...Ok, I know I sound ridiculous but that's what happens when you suddenly become a teenager. At least I think that's what happens to most teens.
Okay, here's some of the things I bought today:
1. "A Little More Personal" (Lindsay Lohan's 2nd album)
2. "Franz Ferdinand" (the 1st album of the same band)
2. Mates, Dates and Sequin Smiles (book)
3. 2 pairs of earrings
4. a necklace
5. a blazer jacket (bluegreen with dirty white piping;love it!)
6. a stick with a bear on top (Blue Magic)
7. Query (Papemelroti)
8. Query 2 (Papemelroti)
9. a little statue
10. a "sort of" Do Not Disturb sign instead it says "This is A High Class Place (Act Respectable)" (hah!!!)

The Movie List
There are so many movies opening this month and I wanna see them all. As a movie fanatic and film maker wannabe, I must say I'm pretty excited to watch them all. I hope that they're as good as the reviews written by the critics. So without further ado, here's the movie list: (striked titles mean that I've already seen them)
1.
Casanova (Heath Ledger, Sienna Miller)
-> I saw the trailer 10 times more or less and it's gonna be good. Trust me.
2.
King Kong (Adrien Brody, Naomi Watts, Jack Black, Jamie Bell)
-> This movie is very much promoted by almost all TV channels/shows so I grew sick of seeing the trailer on TV everyday, but I must say it's pretty well done. Besides, Jamie Bell and Adrien Brody (two of my favorite actors) are there so this should be great.
3.
The Family Stone (an all-star cast: Sarah Jessica Parker, Rachel McAdams, Dermot Mulroney, Luke Wilson, etc...)
-> Rachel McAdams is there!!! Yep, she's one of my favorite actresses. I wanna see this movie because she's a baddie here and she's so good at it. Just watch "Mean Girls", she plays the meanest of them all.
4.
Pride and Prejudice (Keira Knightley, Jena Malone)
-> I love period films and of course, it's romance and you know how I love love stories so I can't miss this.
5.
Little Manhattan-> I really don't know any actors in this movie but I read the plot and it was really nice so I'm planning to watch it.
6.
The Lords of Dogtown (John Robinson, Emile Hirsch, Heath Ledger, Lou Taylor Pucci)
-> It's set in the 70's and it's about skateboarding so this should be fun.
7.
The Decameron (Hayden Christensen, Mischa Barton)
-> This is a period film. I love period films. I love Hayden. I love Mischa. It's romance. Period.
8.
Oliver Twist-> This is a period film, too. I love period films, duh. I love Oliver Twist because it's so refreshing. I cannot wait to see this.
9..
Memoirs of A Geisha (Zhang Zi Yi)
-> Umm... They say it's gonna be good. So.Um.That's it, then.
10.
The Producers (Nathan Lane, Matthew Broderick, Uma Thurman)
-> I love Nathan Lane. He's soooo funny, even in real life!!!
11.
Cheaper by the Dozen 2 (Steve Martin, Hilary Duff, Tom Welling, etc...)
-> I really don't like Hilary but she always makes me want to watch her movies. I dunno why. Geezers.
12.
Yours, Mine and Ours (Dennis Quaid, Rene Russo, Danielle Panabaker)
-> This is sorta like #12 (look above). But this couple's kids aren't 12 but 18!!!
13.
Walk The Line (Reese Witherspoon, Joaquin Phoenix)
-> No specific reason. It just seems interesting.
14.
Brokeback Mountain (Heath Ledger, Jake Gyllenhaal, Anne Hathaway, Michelle Williams)
-> Oh.My.God. I almost forgot to put this on the list! Geezers! Anyway, 3 of my favorite actors are there (Ledger, Gyllenhaal and Hathaway) so this is gonna be great. It's a very strange love story but it got sooo many good reviews and I'm dying to see it!
15.
Proof (Jake Gyllenhaal, Gwyneth Paltrow)
-> This movie isn't so popular because it didn't get promoted that much but I think it's good. I hope.
16.
Zathura-> No special reason. It's just plain interesting.
Whew! That's it for now. But I'm sure that being the movie enthusiast that I am, there will be more soon. Ciao!

Narnia, Mariah, Vendetta and Casanova
We were given 19 days for our Christmas and New Year's Day vacation. After 6 days of non-stop TV and junk food, I suddenly feel like a slob. Geez. But it's okay because I watched a lot of movies including The Chronicles of Narnia and Just Like Heaven. The latter was mediocre. Nothing outstanding, in fact. It's just a plain old chick flick. I didn't even like the movie poster because it's boring:
See? Nothing spectacular.
Narnia was much better. No, actually, it's the BEST. It's sooo much better than any Harry Potter film, believe me. They didn't change anything from the book. Well, except for little but irrelevant parts. Still, Harry Potter loses to Narnia. Hah!
I'm a Potter fan but after seeing each of the films 2 or 3 times, I get bored. But Narnia is an EXCEPTION. I actually watched it for the 4th time yesterday! And I wanna watch it again today. To tell you the truth, when I first saw Narnia, I got a little bored but after giving it another chance, I was flabbergasted! It was THAT good. So please please pretty please WATCH it when it comes to a theatre near you. Here in the Philippines, it will be shown on Jan. 8, I think.
On to another topic, have you seen the new video of Mariah Carey? The "Don't Forget About Us" video clip? Yeah, that one. It was sooo not too raunchy but so sexy. I mean, after she got her boobs fixed (to make them bigger), all her videos seem to show them off or boast them. I mean, what the hell? She's in her 30's, right? But all her videos show Mariah with a younger guy in his 20's. Jesus Christ! Mariah, why don't you make love with a guy older than you or your own age? It's sickening. Ugh. She thinks she's all that, just because of her gigantic breasts caused by knives, silicone and a humongous bank account. (This is her in her latest show of her artificial boobs. Enjoy, gentlemen). Back to the movie topic, I was constantly freaked out by the V for Vendetta trailer. V's mask, actually.
Oh God. It really creeps the hell out of my brain. It's just so freaky, I can't even look at it. I just took the risk of showing it to you, people, so that you can also see the reason behind my freaked-outedness. Good luck to Natalie Portman because she'll be seeing this horrid mask everyday of shooting. But I guess she has gotten used to it by now. God bless her.
Still on the movie category, Heath Ledger will play Casanova in the movie of the same name. I really really canNOT wait to see this movie because:
1. It's a romantic comedy
2. So it's really funny and at the same time, romantic
3. It's a period piece
4. And in fact, I love period films
5. I also love Heath Ledger
So those are the main reasons why I can hardly contain myself when I saw the trailer on TV yesterday. I actually watched the trailer 10 times more or less. *sighs*. I also wanna see Brokeback Mountain because of him, Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway. And because I haven't seen gay romance as the main topic of a movie so that should be incredibly interesting to watch.
So those are some of the highlights, if not major, of my entertainment-filled life.
