Awesome Fifteen
The age I most want to be right now is 15. And tomorrow I'm gonna get my wish because tomorrow's my birthday! I'm so excited because tomorrow's ALSO the premiere of The O.C. Season Three, my favorite favorite favorite show of all time... Tomorrow's also gonna be day I'll get my present from my mom, a book called "Sixteen" by Megan McCafferty, the only author of my favorite books, "Sloppy Firsts" and "Second Helpings".
Anyway, last Friday, the whole family, excluding my dad, went to Robinson's Malate to see "Poseidon". It was actually a cool flick. Next, I went to buy lots of VCD's at AstroVision. Actually, there were four of 'em: Little Women (w/ Winona Ryder), Sixteen Candles (w/ Molly Ringwald), Ferris Bueller's Day Off (w/ Matthew Broderick) and the timeless classic and one of my favourites, The Princess Bride (w/ Cary Elwes). Yeah, I know, they're all...old, but who can blame me? I'm a sucker for 80's movies, especially ones that are colorful and dig deep into the soul. (That's an "aww..." moment right there)
Soooooo, what's there left to say? Goodbye?!

Summer Camp Days Are Over
Gawd. Will I ever be contented in my life now? After fun days at Kim Siong Community, I finally realized how enjoyable my stay there was. At first, I was homesick...Hello?! 27 days with no TV, computer, cellphone and hot water? Are you kidding me? Anyway, after a several days, I got to know great people, particularly Sherina, Johanna, and Derek. They made me happy while I was there. They also made my life there interesting. The other people there were also nice. But the boys....The boys! They teased a lot....Not exactly at me, but still...Their insults at people hurt.
Life wasn't easy for all of us, since we had to do push-ups (for the boys) and sit-ups (for the girls) whenever we did something wrong or whenever the teachers caught us speaking in Tagalog. That's the whole point of summer camp/class. To learn lots of things about China and how to speak its language. I thought we were just gonna do lots of activities, but no, we had classes in the morning (just like in school) and we have art-related activities in the afternoon, like painting/art, dancing and singing. At some point, we went to Enchanted Kingdom and Tagaytay Highlands, which were lots of fun. And just before our Graduation Day, we got to meet Jose Mari Chan. He even sang songs for us. I was so starstruck because his voice was so youthful, so refreshing. I was shocked. Then, at our final day, we each said something special to all. What will you miss most about summer camp? What did you learn here? Etc.
It was funny because Sherina often says that summer camp is like the Big Brother House Celebrity Edition because almost all our classmates have celebrity look-alikes! Lol. We have Dennis Trillo (my bro), Young Dolphy, Janno Gibbs/Erap, Zhang Zi Yi, Kris Aquino, Woody Allen/Mandark from Dexter's Lab, Michael V., Babalu, Lito Atienza, Winnie the Pooh, and Shing Chan (cartoon).
I will never ever forget them because all of them made a change in my life. I will really miss them all now that our summer camp days are over...
